To configure your computer running Entourage, follow the step-by-step procedure below.
Close any programs you have open.
Locate the Entourage application.
Click theEntourageicon to launch the program.
Locate theToolsmenu once Entourage has finished loading.
Click theToolsMenu then clickAccounts.
The Accounts Preferences dialog box will appear.
Click theNewbutton in the top left hand corner of the dialog box and selectMail...
The Account Setup Assistant will now show.
Type in your email address in theE-mail addressfield. Then click theright arrowin the bottom right hand corner to continue.
The Automatic Configuration Assistant will give you this message.
Ignore this message and click theright arrowto continue.
As shown below the Account Complete Settings window is displayed.
In theYour namefield type your name as you would like recipient's to see it when they receive an Email from yourself. Next type in your e-mail address in the E-mail addressfield.
Then selectPOPfrom the drop down menu forIncoming Mail Serverfield. In theIncoming MailServerField typepop.hotkey.net.aufollowed bysmtp.hotkey.net.auin theOutgoing Mail ServerField.
Next the Verify Settings screen will appear.
ClickingVerify My Settingsmakes the assistant check your login details, incoming and outgoing servers. If the information entered is correct you will see the screen below.
If your not connected to the internet click theright arrowto skip this check to continue.
The Setup Complete screen will appear.
TypeHotkey Mailin theAccount namefield, then clickFinish.
Once you click finish you will be brought back to the Accounts window where your new e-mail settings have been created.
Locate the left top corner of the dialog box.
Click the red dot.
Entourage is now configured and ready for use.
If your online click onSend & Receiveto check for new messages.
