Windows XP Dial Up Setup

 

Below is manual configuration guide for Windows XP to connect to the Hotkey Dialup Service. 

 

 

Close any programs you have open.


Click the Start button.



Next click Settings then Control Panel


The Control Panel dialog box will appear.



Double click the left mouse button on Network Connections.


NOTE:
If your control panel does not look like the one shown above, click Switch to Classic View located on the left hand side as shown below.




The Network Connections dialog box will appear.



Click the left mouse button once on Create a new connection


The Connection Wizard will begin.



Click Next to continue


The Network Connection Type dialog box will appear.



Use the left mouse button to place a dot in Connect to the Internet , then click Next


The Internet Connection Wizard will then continue to the next step.



Use the left mouse button to place a dot in Set up my connection manually, then click Next to continue.


The Internet Connection type dialog box will appear.



Use the left mouse button to place a dot in Connect using a dial-up modem, then click Next.
 

The Connection Name dialog box will appear.



In the ISP name field, type in Hotkey Internet, then click Next to continue.

 
The Internet Connection Phone Number dialog box will appear.



In the Phone number field enter 0198380000. Click Next to continue


The Internet Account Information dialog box will appear.



In the Username and Password field, enter the details provided to you by Hotkey, these settings are specific to your account, click Next to continue leaving all tick boxes ticked as shown above.


The Internet Connection Wizard completion dialog box will appear.



Use the left mouse button to place a dot in Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop, then click Finish.


The Connect Hotkey Internet dialog box will appear.



Click Dial to connect straight away, otherwise click Cancel.
