Some of the guides on this website are specific to a particular revision of the iConnectAccess621, and it can get a bit confusing if you've got one version and are looking at instructions for a different version.

Fortunately, finding out what revision you have is done in the same manner, no matter which one you have.

Here's how:

Open up your web browser (Internet Explorer if you're on a Windows PC, Safari if you're on a Mac) and load the following address:

http://192.168.1.254/

It should ask for a username and password, which are root and 0P3N respectively (username in lowercase, password in uppercase). Click the Log In button to open the configuration page.

First, click on the Status tab at the top of the page. From the menu options on the left, select the Product Information link. On the product information page, look for the Firmware Version section. You should see either 38.54.x, 621 R06-x OPEN or 621 R07-x OPEN, as these are revision numbers for the three main versions of the modem. Here are some screenshots to compare:

Firmware revision 621 R07-x OPEN (version 3) looks very similar to the screenshot above (for version 2), so we haven't included a separate image. As there are only a few differences between version 2 and 3, each guide for version 2 will also work for version 3.
