NB1300 USB Setup - Windows 98 SE

1. Connect the USB cable to the computer making sure the other end is connected to the NB1300 ADSL modem.

2.The Hardware Wizard will appear.

Click Next to continue with installation.

3. The Add New Hardware Wizard dialog box will appear.

Select the option " Search for the best driver for your device ", then click Next .

4. The Driver Location Search dialog box will now appear.

Make sure only the CD-ROM Drive option is selected, then click Next.

5. The modem driver has been located.

Click Next to continue

6. The Driver Install Completion dialog box will appear.

Click Finish to continue with the modem setup.

7. At this stage you must restart your computer to complete the modem driver installation. To do this click " Start " then click " Shutdown ", from here select " Restart " then click OK. The PC will now restart.

8. Click Connect via USB Modem

9. Click NetComm NB1300

NOTE:
At this stage please make sure you have connected your NB1300 ADSL modem correctly by following the provided diagrams. If your cabling is correct click Continue.

10. Click Launch Netcomm NB1300 Quick Start.

11. Internet Explorer will launch and display the dialog below. If you experience trouble viewing this dialog, your browsers proxy settings may need disabling.

In the Username field type your username followed by @primusdsl or @dsl2.iprimus.com.au, depending on the type of account you have (if unsure please check your Service Summary sheet, this is on an A4 sheet sent with your modem), then type your password into the Password field. Next select PPPoA VC-Mux from the WAN Type pull down menu, then click Submit.

12. Click Save Setting and Reboot located on the left.

13. The Save setting and reboot dialog will appear.

Click Save & Reboot

14. Your NB1300 ADSL modem will now reboot.

15. After your modem has completed rebooting, the following dialog will appear.

You are now connected and ready to surf the Net.
