NB1300 USB Setup - Windows XP

Guide Revision - Version 3

1. Place the Netcomm NB1300 CD in the CD-ROM Drive.

2. Connect the USB cable to the computer making sure the other end is connected to the NB1300 ADSL modem.

3. The Hardware Wizard will appear.

Select the option " Install the software automatically " then click Next

4. The Driver Selection box will appear.

Select the top option, then click Next

5. The Driver Verification window will appear.

Click Continue Anyway . The Windows logo testing is a tool to assist Microsoft in verifying software. This software has been extensively tested and in most cases performs as required.

6. The Driver Verification window will appear again.

Click Continue Anyway

7. The Driver Install Completion dialog box will appear.

Click Finish to continue with the modem setup.

8. Some of these steps will repeat. Once complete your modem will be installed. 

9. You now need to restart your computer to complete the modem driver installation.

10. Open Internet Explorer

11. In the Address bar type 192.168.1.1 and hit enter

12. The Modem will prompt you to enter a username and password. Enter the username admin and the password password then click log in.

13. You will now see the One Page Configuration.

6. Internet Explorer will launch and display the dialog below. If you experience trouble viewing this dialog, your browsers proxy settings may need disabling.

In the Username field type your username followed by @primusdsl or @dsl2.iprimus.com.au, depending on the type of account you have (if unsure please check your Service Summary sheet, this is on an A4 sheet sent with your modem), then type your password into the Password field. Next select PPPoA VC-Mux from the WAN Type pull down menu, then click Submit.


7. Click Save Setting and Reboot located on the left.
 

8. The Save setting and reboot dialog will appear.

Click Save & Reboot

9. Your NB1300 ADSL modem will now reboot

Please wait 1-2 minutes while this process takes place.


10. After your modem has completed rebooting, the following dialog will appear.

You are now connected and ready to surf the Net.
