This configuration guide will assist you with configuring your version 2
Netcomm NB5 ADSL modem to connect using PPPoE (a.k.a. "router" mode).
Here's how:
Load the modem's configuration screen in
your browser (Internet Explorer if you're using Windows, Safari if
you're on a Mac). The address you need to go to is http://192.168.1.1/ .

You'll need to log in - the username is admin, the password is admin. Click Log In.

Click the Advanced tab up the top, then position your mouse over the first menu item on the left-hand side - WAN. A menu with 3 items should appear, as shown in the image above. Click quickstart.

First, check that the Type: dropdown is set to PPPoE. In the PPP Settings section, enter your Hotkey Broadband details in the Username: and Password: boxes - don't forget the 'realm' after the username (it's usually @dsl2.iprimus.com.au). Check that Authentication: is set to PAP (by default, this is on 'Auto').
Click the Apply button down the bottom of the page, then click the Save Settings link at the top of the page. If an alert window appears, click OK.
Your
modem is now (re)configured! Switch your NB5 off for 30 seconds, switch
it back on and you should be connected to the Internet within a few
minutes.
